Awards & Recognition

When your peers appreciate your work it’s the best compliment. Like a virtual pat on the back. Or getting the proverbial gold star. I have been nominated for several awards since I started this blog, and everytime I find that little blurb in the comments section of a post I smile. Knowing that someone besides your mother appreciates your body of work is no small treasure (my mom thinks everything I produce is award-worthy… thank you, Momma).

The Liebster Award was sent my way this past February by Creative Noshing whose writing is heartfelt and sincere and her recipes are guaranteed delicious. Read my sweatpants and coffee version of an acceptance speech, as well as my nominations to receive this award here. Nickki T. over at Cookies Cakes and Bakes also gave me a Liebster Award. Nickki is my friend because of THIS Raspberry Red Velvet Cake. She should be your friend, too.

Domestic Diva, M.D., in the midst of all she has on her plate (medical school, cooking, inappropriate men, and general hilarity), nominated me for this prize. Accepting the award included listing seven random things about myself. I received it again from Choc Chip Uru – her name, like her blog, is fantastical. Then Terri at A Time to be Inspired gave me the Versatile Blog Award. She’s artsy craftsy. Read her blog HERE.

The Sunshine Award is one of my favorites, and not just because It’s pretty. It comes complete with a list of questions asking about my favorite color and Tyrannosaurus Rex. Deanna at A Year of Healthier Living gave me the Sunshine Award as well. She works hard at eating local and sustainable living. Read all about it.

I received the One Lovely Blog Award from Hot Rod Cowgirl. If you really need to know another seven things about me, you can find them AND spicy fish tacos HERE.

The New Blogger Award did not come with a pretty sticker like the last few… I think I should make one.

As you can see, graphic design is not a part of my skill set. No awards for that right there. Anyway, Creative Noshing nominated me for this award as well- because she and I, well we are bloggy friends. Also she makes really super caesar dressing.

The Beautiful Blogger Award was presented to me by Vina Kent– aspiring writer and the reblog queen- I always know I can look up her blog and find some randomly informative article that I never knew I needed. It’s very handy. This award also required seven more things about me.

I do not know why “Kreativ” is spelled with a “k”, nor do I know why it’s missing an “e”. I tried to Google it, but then I got bored. This one also came from Domestic Diva, M.D. I think she loves Sugar Dish Me. The feeling is totally mutual. Then I was passed Kreativ again by Tabkhet el yom on a day that was going all wrong. This award helped me reset. Or maybe it was the cake? I can’t be completely sure. Five more nominations and seven(ish) more things… I may run out of random quirks to list in the next little while. But probably not.
